Traceability is the thread that connects every record in Farmso into one continuous story: where an animal was born, where it moved, what it was treated with, which group and batch it belonged to, how it was processed, and which finished products it became. Because each event is timestamped and linked to the animal’s digital passport, you can reconstruct a complete chain of custody from birth to fork in seconds — and prove it.
You can attach supporting documents (movement certificates, lab results, certifications) to any point in the timeline, run a recall trace in either direction, and — on Premium — publish a consumer QR passport so a buyer can scan a pack and see a trusted, tamper-evident origin story.
Use case
A processor flags a possible contamination in one lot. From Traceability you search the batch, trace forward to every product and customer it reached, and trace backward to every source animal and its premises — then export the affected list for a targeted recall in minutes instead of days. No spreadsheets, no guesswork, and a defensible audit trail at the end of it.
Trace and recall
- 1
Open Traceability
In the web app sidebar, choose the Traceability section.
- 2
Find the subject
Search by tag/EID, batch/lot number or product SKU to load its life timeline — movements, health events, processing and lineage.
- 3
Attach evidence
Add documents (certificates, lab reports, photos) to any event so the record is complete and audit-ready.
- 4
Run a recall trace
Trace forward (animal → products → customers) or backward (product → source animals → premises) and export the affected list.
Trace in the field
- 1
Open More → Traceability
From the More grid, tap Traceability.
- 2
Search a tag or batch
Enter (or scan) a tag/EID or batch number to open its life timeline.
- 3
Check the anchor
A DID anchor badge shows whether the record is anchored on-chain (Enterprise) for independent tamper-evidence.
- 4
Use the Recall tab
Switch to the Recall tab to trace forward or backward from the current subject while you are on-site.
Traceability unlocks on Standard. The consumer QR passport (a public, scan-to-view origin page for buyers) is a Premium feature; on-chain DID anchoring of the record is Enterprise.
FAQ
A search that follows the chain of custody from a chosen point — forward to everything that came from it (products, customers) or backward to its sources (animals, premises) — so you can scope a recall precisely.
