Validation before movement

The compliance gate

Before any movement is recorded, Farmso validates it against the destination’s rules — a registered destination establishment, valid IDs in an approved scheme, no active movement standstill or disease restriction, and no animal within a treatment withdrawal period bound for slaughter. Illegal moves are blocked, not logged after the fact.

Data governance & security

You own your data

Farmso acts as a data processor under GDPR. Farmers get full export and, within statutory limits, erasure.

Role-based access

Every record is scoped by organisation; access is enforced server-side against signed JWT claims.

Immutable audit trail

Every change is recorded in an append-only, exportable audit log.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with secrets managed separately from application code.

Tamper-evident provenance

A SHA-256 hash of the canonical passport is anchored on Solana — verifiable independently of Farmso.

Plug-in modules

New jurisdictions are added as modules over the canonical model — with no change to core data.
